Counseling Program

 

The counseling program offers victims of domestic violence and sexual assault the following services:

  • Short-term crisis counseling
  • On-going individual/family therapy related to domestic violence & sexual assault
  • Group counseling related to childhood sexual assault and domestic violence
  • Psychosocial assessments and evaluation of sexual abuse of children
  • Client advocacy and referrals

Volunteer Opportunities

Child Care Provider:
On-site child care for parents receiving ADWAS services (appointments with staff, parenting classes, support groups) or attending ADWAS events.

Office Volunteer:

  • Mailings
  • Filing
  • Word processing
  • Photocopying
  • Works closely with the Office Manager and Program Assistant

 
General Volunteer:

  • Assist at special events by selling tickets
  • Folding flyers
  • Helping with decorations
  • A wide range of duties and activities
