Thanks so much for your interest in volunteering for our Summer Camps that will be in June, July & August. The kids look so forward to our camps every year! We depend on counselors to be invested in providing access to communication, being creative and to be a facilitator of FUN!

Deaf Summer Camp – June 24-28 9:00am-5:00pm: Deaf children in the community ages 6-12.

Deaf Counselors will get priority. If you are not Deaf then you will need to be fluent enough in ASL to be voice off with all campers and staff and have a strong understanding of Deaf culture.

Pre-school Summer Camp – July 8-12 9:00am-12:00pm: Deaf and CODA children ages 3-5.

Deaf counselors encouraged to apply. Hearing counselors must have at least basic/ intermediate

ASL skills and willing to learn about Deaf culture. The campers are not deaf but will be signing. Other staff, counsellors and their parents will be Deaf.

CODA Summer Camp – August 5-9 9:00am-5:00pm: Hearing signing CODAs ages 6-12

Deaf counselors encouraged to apply. Hearing counselors must have at least basic/ intermediate

ASL skills and willing to learn about Deaf culture. The campers are not deaf but will be signing. Other staff, counselors and some parents will be Deaf.

Trainings – 1-2 trainings before Camp

You are expected to arrive no later than 8:30 and we will debrief at the end of the day for up to 30 minutes.
